Terms of Service

These terms apply when you access or use Fennec, including the web app, API-backed account features, GitHub connection, offline evidence import tool, generated reports, and exported CV documents.

You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate, protecting your login session, and choosing what career information, evidence, links, files, and third-party account connections you add to Fennec.

You must not use Fennec to upload unlawful content, infringe someone else’s rights, attempt to access another account, interfere with the service, reverse engineer security controls, or use the service in a way that could harm Fennec or other users.

Fennec generates career reviews, CVs, promotion summaries, skill views, and evidence exports from the information in your account. These outputs are tools to help you prepare, not guarantees of employment, promotion, certification, interview selection, or a particular career outcome.

You are responsible for reviewing generated documents before sharing them with employers, clients, recruiters, managers, or third parties.

You keep ownership of the profile information, skills, evidence, goals, education, work experience, certification records, imported activity, and generated documents you create in Fennec.

You give Fennec permission to process that content only so the product can provide core features: storing your account, generating reports, syncing connected activity you request, exporting documents, and sending configured notifications.

If you connect GitHub, Fennec uses the authorised access to fetch merged pull requests and suggest evidence. You can disconnect GitHub in Settings.

Third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. Fennec is not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or data shown on those services.

Fennec may change, suspend, or retire features as the product develops. We aim to preserve export access where practical, but the service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes should be communicated in the product or by email where appropriate.

You can export your data and request or perform account deletion from Settings. Account deletion removes your Fennec user profile and associated career data from the account database.

Some limited operational records may remain temporarily in backups or logs where needed for security, legal, or service-integrity reasons.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fennec is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-opportunity damages arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
